Sara Beanblossom is the owner of Beanblossom Consulting, applying 20+ years of experience in communications, advocacy, fundraising & community building. Her current work supports not-for-profit, arts, and education organizations to efficiently advance their sustainability, relevance, and interconnectedness.
Prior to forming her independent agency, Sara served as Associate Vice President of Communications and Advocacy at Indiana Afterschool Network (IAN) for 12 years. In this position, she was the leader of numerous IAN initiatives including overseeing 10 annual statewide conferences, communications strategy and implementation, and advocacy strategy and implementation of legislative outreach at both the state and national levels.
Sara was a 2014 White-Riley-Peterson Policy Fellow, a 2011 Journey Executive Fellow and a 2010 Indiana Arts Commission Individual Artist Grant Recipient. She holds her MA from SPEA at Indiana University, Bloomington.
